I’m Irina the founder of IDconsult.
I moved to Denmark from Moldova at 19, learned Danish in under two years, and have built my life, education and business here. I've spent more than 10 years working in Danish accounting firms and running my own practice.
As an expat, I know what it's like to open a letter from SKAT in a language you're still learning. I've also seen how anxious people can become when they need to call SKAT.
That's one of the reasons I started IDconsult.
What began as a small side project became a company helping expats, freelancers and entrepreneurs navigate the Danish financial system.
Clients often come to me with a few questions and leave with money they didn't know they were entitled to: missed deductions, wrongly charged VAT, reverse charge rules nobody explained, cross-border setups that cost more than they should.
I work in English, Danish and Romanian (and I'm learning Spanish) and together with my team of authorised accountants and trusted tax professionals, we help internationals start, run and grow businesses in Denmark while understanding what they're actually paying for and what they can deduct.
